Stocking the fridge at work

So today at lunch, the guys at work handed me the corporate credit card and asked me to help stock the break room fridge with beer because they were running low. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. I headed to Pacific Park Market and loaded up. The top shelf was already full of Stella Artois and Foster’s Lager. So I loaded up the bottom with Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA, Deschuttes Black Butte Porter, New Belgium Snow Day, Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye IPA, Ballast Point Sculpin, Russian River Pliny the Elder and Blind Pig, Lagunitas Maximus, and Big Sky Moose Drool. In the door (not pictured) is a bottle of Stone Brewing Old Guardian Barley Wine. I hope they weren’t expecting more lager.

OC BrewHaHa was pretty awesome

OC BrewHaHaSo, if you’ve been following our tweets, then you know that today was the Orange County BrewHaHa beer festival in Irvine, California. The BeerSoaked guys were in attendance and were far too busy drinking craft beer and meeting with cool folks to “live blog” during the event. So we’re posting after the fact. Better Nate than lever. Orange County BrewHaHa Festival

Are you going to the OC BrewHaHa this weekend, Saturday, September 10th?

OC BrewHaHa FestivalThe Beer Soaked guys will be there. We are planning on pacing ourselves in order to sample as many brews as we can. Thankfully the sponsors are providing water and sodas free of charge with your admission. So staying hydrated is going to be easy.

They’ve got over 60 breweries lined up, three expert beer presentations, live entertainment, and some tasty food too. This has all the preparations for a great beer festival. We are really looking forward to it. I’m especially interested in the presentations from beer experts: Dr. Bill Sysak, Ed Heethuis, and Jonathan Porter. I’m always looking to further my knowledge of beer.

Not only is this going to be a huge beer soaked event with a plethora of breweries offering tastes of over 150 different brews, but it’s a fund raiser for the Orange County Fallen Firefighters Relief Fund, so you get that warm and fuzzy feeling inside that comes from helping out the families of the firefighters lost in the line of duty.

Check out the OC BrewHaHa website for all the details.

Beer soaked golf

How to play golf and drink beer at the same time. Things you’ll need: Sucktitude, Cheap Golf, Cooler Bag, Canned Craft Beer.

Okay, so you don’t have to suck at golf to play beer soaked golf. But you shouldn’t be working on improving your handicap either. I started playing golf when I was a kid, but I sucked, so I quit playing. Continue reading
