was La Citrueille, Celeste de Citracado which is a Stone Collaboration with The Bruery and Elysian Brewing Company. This ale is brewed with pumpkin, yams, toasted fenugreek, lemon verbena and birch bark. Not your typical ingredients but quite tasty, not too very bitter and an ABV at 5.0%.
Fenugreek – Trigonella foenum-graecum) is a plant in the family Fabaceae. Fenugreek is used both as a herb (the leaves) and as a spice (the seed, often called methi in Urdu/Hindi/Nepali). The leaves and sprouts are also eaten as vegetables. The plant is cultivated worldwide as a semi-arid crop and is a common ingredient in many curries.
We love craft beer… all craft beer! But as a California-based beer blog we are especially proud of all the California brewers who were awarded medals in this year’s Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. We raise a beer soaked glass in honor of our California brethren who represented us well in this years event. Cheers!
